New Year, New Blog

Has it really been that long since I was last on here? My, how the time flies. And yet, I have no excuse for my absence.

Perhaps, there was a part of me (and still is a part of me) that had become so disgusted with the rhetoric and vitriolic comments plaguing social media these days. I had never been a fan of social media, but the recent rise in hate and indignant rage being disseminated across the inter-webs has certainly cemented that feeling within me. Nevertheless, I made a New Year's resolution to be more active on this blog and within other social media platforms, as well.

Of course, February 28 is a far cry from being considered the New Year. I don't even have the excuse of saying it is a Leap Year. Consider this to be my "alternative" beginning of a new year.
